ChargePanel AB signs second agreement for the Kenyan market.

ChargePanel AB (publ) (“ChargePanel”) and EVChaja Limited (“EVChaja”) have today signed an agreement for the ChargePanel Enterprise service. ChargePanel currently has customers in Europe, the USA, Asia and Africa. The agreement will enable EVChaja to provide CPO (charge point operator) and EMP (eMobility service provider) services in Kenya under its own brand.

EVChaja is a Kenyan company that offers a range of EV charging solutions for the charging of electric vehicles, including installation and maintenance of charging stations for residential, commercial, and public locations. Currently, the company has charging points set up in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.

Their investment is made possible in conjunction with the agreement with ChargePanel as they receive access to the SaaS platform and can thus control and manage the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and their drivers. EVChaja has been active in the Kenyan market for the past 3 years. The focus will be on public charging where the need is great. Since ChargePanel already has an active customer in the Kenyan market, the start-up will be relatively quick and EVChaja is expected to be active already during the month of August, ChargePanel has already completed the local payment solution M-Pesa.

During the year ChargePanel has noticed an increased interest from companies in East Africa to start up operations within charging infrastructure, which means that the company expects more agreements before the end of the year.

“Signing this agreement with EVChaja shows that our offer is well aligned and that our white label solution helps and solves the challenges that exist for the companies that want to establish themselves in our industry. We at ChargePanel look forward to being part of their journey of growth and development.” – Peter Persson, CEO – ChargePanel AB (publ)

“After extensive months of searching for a white label app solution provider, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with ChargePanel. Their expertise in offering white label solutions propels us towards enhancing our customers’ experience. We eagerly anticipate fostering a long-lasting relationship with ChargePanel as we embark on this exciting journey of growth and development.”– Iyadi Iyadi, CEO, EVChaja Limited

About EVChaja

EVChaja provides charging solutions for private EV owners, fleet operators, and the general public. Our aim is to establish a widespread electric vehicle charging network that drives the mass adoption of electric vehicles not only in Kenya but throughout Africa. In response to the increasing number of electric vehicle owners and the urgent need to address climate change, our company was founded in 2020 after identifying the lack of public charging infrastructure.

Our primary objective is to install chargers at highway rest stops across the country, as well as in various establishments within cities and towns in Kenya. As proponents of e-mobility, we are committed to accelerating the industry’s growth, improving the environment, and making a positive impact on people’s lives.

We firmly believe that electric vehicles are the future, and EVChaja is dedicated to playing a vital role in bringing about this transformation.

ChargePanel is a GreenTech company that offers innovative B2B solutions within e-Mobility.

ChargePanel offers a white-label SaaS-platform for the operation and management of electric vehicle charging networks. The platform enables electric vehicle driver access to a user-friendly app for charging and is independent of both electricity companies and manufacturers of charging infrastructure.

Since the start, the company’s focus has been towards developing the technical platform as well as increasing the interest and connecting with selected strategic partners and customers. The company provides solutions in Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, Romania, Morocco, Kenya, Uganda, Malta, the USA, Australia and Malaysia, with the ambition to grow with its customers into new geographic markets and has adopted a growth strategy which includes multiple continents before the end of 2025. The company’s strategy is both sustainability and customer-centric. Smarter electric vehicle charging through ChargePanel’s platform facilitates the transition from fossil-fuel vehicles to electric vehicles for both private individuals and companies. This is in line with the climate goals of most countries and regions, and the incentives for electric vehicles will increase sharply in the future.
