ChargePanel AB (publ) continues to expand in the British market

ChargePanel AB (publ) (the “Company”) and Bumblebee EV Limited (“Bumblebee”) can today announce that they have entered a collaboration for charging electric vehicles on the British market, initially regarding approximately 200 charging points, with the intention of immediate implementation. Bumblebee has today an existing network of charging stations with almost 4,500 installed charging points. The ambition is to continue to connect the entire network to ChargePanel’s platform.

Bumblebee is a British company with one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing networks of charge point installers. Bumblebee’s charging network covers both charging in public, at workplaces and charging at home. ChargePanel Enterprise, which is the subscription service to which the cooperation agreement with Bumblebee refers, is ChargePanel’s SaaS platform that enables the control and management of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and provides charging services to electric vehicle drivers.

The UK government plans to support the expansion of the UK’s charging network with £1.6 billion to reach 300,000 charging points by the year 20301. Revenue from electric car charging alone is expected to rise to around £7 billion in the UK and £43 billion in Europe by 2030. This is a sevenfold increase from 2021 with a CAGR2 of around 25%3.

Bumblebee is an exciting company that is already one of the UK’s largest suppliers of charging infrastructure and is growing strongly. ChargePanel’s platform shows once again that it is competitive and can optimally complement comprehensive solutions like Bumblebee’s. The collaboration represents an important step in our ambitions to grow in the British market, where there is great potential for further growth in the future. This agreement is proving that our service stands strong in the market, while also being a further step in our expansion plan and growth journey.” – Jan Berggren, CEO ChargePanel AB (publ)

“As one of the UK’s leading providers of EV charging infrastructure we recognise the value in being able to offer a robust, economical, and efficient management solution aimed at all areas of EV charging. In line with our growth plans we are partnering with ChargePanel to bring an exciting new product to the home, workplace, and public charging space – this partnership brings Bumblebee one step closer to becoming a full end to end e-mobility provider.” – Stewart Yardley, Director, Bumblebee EV Limited
