The collaboration enables public EV chargers in the EU and the UK to offer seamless “tap-to-pay” functionality, giving drivers greater convenience and accessibility.
With this integration, EV drivers can simply tap a card, a smartphone, or a smartwatch to start charging. By simplifying the payment process, ChargePanel’s Charging Station Management System (CSMS), together with Payter’s secure terminal technology, helps charging station operators attract a broader customer base and maximize charger utilization.
This development also ensures compliance with the EU’s AFIR, which entered into force on 13 April 2024 and sets requirements including contactless payment options at public charging. The Company has already implemented solutions for integrated, contactless payments but is expanding partnerships by adding a new payment provider to give EV drivers a smoother payment experience at the charger and to provide CSMS customers with higher operational reliability, better coverage, and easier scaling.
