ChargePanel launches connection to Nord Pool in the Nordics and Baltics

ChargePanel AB (publ) (“ChargePanel” or “The Company”) has recently completed a connection with Nord Pool in the Nordics and Baltics. This integration gives users quick access to real-time information on electricity prices and opens up further revenue opportunities for ChargePanel through a more seamless and cost-effective charging experience.

The connection to the Nordic power exchange Nord Pool enables ChargePanel’s users to monitor and adjust their charging habits in real time based on current electricity prices hour by hour, so-called spot prices. Users and charging station owners can follow the actual electricity price and gain insight into electricity prices for the coming 6-8 hours, which results in that, drivers can always pay a fair electricity price, and charging point owners can connect their profits to electricity prices in real-time.

Through this, charging point owners can flexibly receive payments from their users, based on the spot price and an additional premium that they choose. Users will be able to pay for the electricity price in real time as well as the profit margin chosen by the operator.

For charging point owners, this means reduced worry about their prices being unfairly high, which creates an advantageous position in their businesses and increases credibility in the electric vehicle charging industry. For users, this means more cost-effective and sustainable electric car charging through the use of favorable electricity prices and the minimization of unnecessary costs.

This differentiation positions ChargePanel as a significant player in the emerging electric car charging market and increases the attractiveness for both users and charging point owners. The Company positions itself well to meet customers’ needs and creates revenue opportunities from more customers. ChargePanel has currently connected the countries in the Nordics and the Baltics, but has ongoing processes for expansion in more countries, above all in the United Kingdom.

“We are pleased to announce our connection to Nord Pool in the Nordics and Baltics. At ChargePanel, we strive to offer users an attractive and seamless charging experience. This progress marks a significant step in that direction, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our position in the growing market for electric car charging” – Peter Persson CEO ChargePanel AB (publ)
