ChargePanel AB (publ) (“ChargePanel”) and Simba Innovative LTD (”Electrify Africa”) have today signed an agreement for a license for ChargePanel’s Enterprise service. Electrify Africa will work as an EV charging operator in Uganda with the goal to establish operations in seven countries in the East African region within 2 years.
Electrify Africa will act as both a CPO and EMP through ChargePanel’s platform in the East African market starting in Uganda. The connection of charge stations will begin in Uganda’s capital Kampala as soon as the onboarding is completed in ChargePanel’s platform, which is estimated to take place during July.
Through the agreement with Electrify Africa, ChargePanel also increases its presence in the expansive East African market and the agreement is of a strategic character as it makes expansion into new countries possible. ChargePanel has an active agreement in the Ugandan market since previously.
