ChargePanel AB and Arval AB have signed a comprehensive agreement to offer a complete solution for electric vehicle charging to Arval’s leasing customers in Sweden. Together, Arval AB, the market leader in full-service leasing and mobility solutions specialists, and ChargePanel AB, a provider of charging network services, will provide a unique service for charging along the road, at home and in the office.
Arval will be the first leasing customer of ChargePanel to deliver a complete platform and tailored user experience around electric vehicle charging to its customers. Arval’s customers will have access to a nationwide and global network of public charging points and can connect both office and home chargers to the service, thereby consolidating all administration and billing around charging under one platform.
“As an international actor in operational leasing and mobility solutions, the core of our strategy is to support our customers in their energy transition. In Sweden, our growing fleet consists of 70% electrified cars, and we are very pleased to now provide a complete service together with ChargePanel that meets all our customers’ varying needs regarding charging.” – Philippe Chabert, General Manager, Arval Sweden.
ChargePanel currently manages approximately 1000 vehicles according to a similar arrangement with other customers. With a platform that is fully scalable, no increased costs are expected for ChargePanel. The agreement is expected to make a clear and positive contribution to the operating profit (EBIT) right from the start with revenues from platform license, reimbursement management, roaming and other transaction-based services.
“We are very proud that Arval has chosen ChargePanel as a strategic partner in its investment in electrification. For us, it is a sign of quality that a large and international player selected us. It confirms the strength of our platform and marks our entry into a new and rapidly growing segment in the leasing market” – Peter Persson, CEO of ChargePanel AB
The partnership is in line with Arval and ChargePanel’s shared goal of accelerating electrification, and both parties have the ambition to expand the collaboration to the other Nordic countries. Arval currently finances approximately 13,000 cars in Sweden, of which 8,000 are electrified cars that will be able to connect to the service.
