BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle)

A Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is a type of electric vehicle that is solely powered by an onboard rechargeable battery, with no internal combustion engine. BEVs rely entirely on external charging stations to replenish their batteries. Unlike hybrid vehicles, which may use a combination of petrol and electricity, BEVs consume only electric energy stored in their batteries to propel the vehicle. The range, performance, and lifespan of a BEV are directly influenced by the capacity and technology of its battery. Charging infrastructure, plays a pivotal role in the practicality and convenience of BEVs and the development and accessibility of charging solutions are paramount to support the widespread adoption of pure electric mobility.
